Guests are dying one by one but who is the mastermind? Some of the guests are quite remorseful of their actions and some don’t care. The guests of the island, the un-convicted murderers, are desperate to find out who is the killer and how to save themselves. One by one the inhabitants get killed in a manner dictated by the poem, and one by one the toy soldiers disappear. On Soldier Island, each room has a framed copy of the poem “Ten Little Soldier Boys” by Frank Green and there are ten soldier figurines on the dining table. Each guest on the island has committed a murder and gotten away with it, as all are either hard to prove or impossible to prove in a court of law. Once there, finding that their hosts are absent, they start to think things strange, but not as strange as when a loud voice starts to accuse each one of a murder. Ten people are mysteriously invited to Soldier Island by old acquaintances. Interest Level: Grades 9-12 ( ARBookfind) ![]()
